Summer ‘n Junk

So…I might as well be communicative about what’s going on rather than be silent and have people be confused. I’m still very dedicated to The Junk Hyenas Diner and moving forward with all the story I have planned, and know The Junk Hyenas Diner always faces delays, but… May and June were really hectic months for me. After that gauntlet, all I want to do is focus on Slightly Damned this month. SD is my #1 priority project, and we’re in a really important part of the story right now. I made a bunch of thumbnails to last me months, but I’m finding that they need constant revision and expansion to get all the content I want covered at a pace that I feel is appropriate.

Speaking of thumbnails, although I know what the next Junk Hyena chapters will be about, the thumbnails aren’t done yet. And that’s my least favorite part of the comics-making process (even though it is essential to my way of doing things)! So if I manage to hammer out some thumbnails this month, maybe you’ll see another Junk Hyenas chapter before the end of the month.

So yeah. I’m not giving up. I’m just slow!

New Junk in June

Sorry to have to do this, but The Junk Hyenas Diner is going on break until June.

But why? You just came back from hiatus!

I know, I know. And don’t worry, this won’t be nearly as long a break as it was last time. It’s just that I’ve got a lot coming up that take priority over Junk Hyenas Diner pages. Like…

1) I am going to The Center for Cartoon Studies 10th Anniversary block party! Which is all the way across the country from where I live!

2) Right after that, I’m going to be tabling at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival!

3) I need to draw my submission for the next Dirty Diamonds anthology!

4) I need to draw new buttons and prints in order to prepare for…

5) … my table at Phoenix Comic Con, which is the first weekend of June!

6) During all that, I need to make sure that Slightly Damned keeps updating!

7) And I need to keep on top of all the Patreon rewards I provide patrons, too.

So… yeah! May is gonna be a busy month. I plan to hop right back to working on The Junk Hyenas Diner after I’m done with Phoenix Comic Con. Thanks for your patience!
